Rodnei Retreat is an independent accommodation guide for Borșa, Moisei and the wider Rodnei Mountains area, in Maramureș County, operated by M-IT SCALE. We're not a travel agency and we don't operate the listed properties ourselves — we build and maintain this guide to make it easier to choose where to stay in the area, and to help you understand what there is to do in the Rodnei Mountains before you come.
How We Select Properties
Every property in our accommodation guide is genuinely located in Borșa, Moisei, or the immediate surroundings of the Rodnei Mountains. We check each property's location, type and amenities against publicly available information (booking platforms, official websites, Google Maps) and put it through a full review at least twice a year, plus whenever a correction reported by a visitor or a property owner tells us something has changed. Ratings shown come from the sources explicitly named on each property page (for example Booking.com or TripAdvisor) — we don't generate or alter these scores ourselves.

Content on Rodnei Retreat is written and checked by the Rodnei Retreat Editorial Team, part of M-IT SCALE. We're not licensed mountain guides and don't claim first-hand field experience we don't have — our job is researching, comparing and cross-checking public information about properties and the area (local authorities, Salvamont Maramureș, the national park administration, booking platforms) so what you read here is accurate and current, not just copied from somewhere. Every travel guide goes through the same team before it's published.
